Health Benefits

Our European counterparts have been shouting about the positive physical and metal health benefits of hot and cold therapy for generations. At The Hot Rocks Sauna we are excited to offer you these while showcasing our own little slice of the world.

Frequent sauna use can mimic mild exercise which releases endorphins. This has been shown to reduce the risk of Strokes, lower blood pressure and improve your overall cardiovascular health.

Chronic fatigue and pain

Hot and cold water therapy creates a natural pain relief effect, which can aid in disorders such as Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Headaches and Back Pain.

Mental health

Just one session can benefit to your mental health which can lead to improvements to your mood, sleep quality and a reduction in the stress hormone Cortisol, which has been linked to anxiety, depression and stress.

Join us for a Sunday afternoon retreat of Reconnection, Restoration & Solstice Celebration at The Hot Rocks Sauna, by the shores of Lough Neagh.

No Experience Needed: Whether you are a seasoned sauna-goer or this is your very first time, you are welcome here. Guided Ritual; 2.5 hours of song, silence, and prayer led by an experienced Facilitator Tara from Solas Sauna.
Sauna by the Lough: 5 rounds of heat with refreshing breaks to enjoy fresh air, hydrate and cool off with a shower, whiskey barrel plunge or a dip in the lough.
Afterglow: We finish with herbal tea and light snacks together around the Solstice Fire.

About us

We are Jacek and Andrea, one half Polish and the other Northern Irish. We are the qualified sauna masters and the creators of The Hot Rocks Sauna.

A few years ago on one of our regular trips back to Poland to see family and friends we were invited to try a family member’s local hand built sauna.

After we experienced this unique styled sauna and the rewards gained from it, we knew we had to bring it back home for others to enjoy.

Ever since we have been trying to promote the sauna lifestyle in our own beautiful landscape.

So after thinking and designing we decided to take the plunge so to speak, and built our own sauna.
